"Selling The Square" - Tiananmen Square is full of Chinese Workers offering to take your photograph in the famous area, however, in this photo we find the roles reversed.
"Forbidden Treasure" You can find this building to the right side of the main entrance to The Forbidden City.
"Guarding Tiananmen" - Soldiers proudly fulfilling their shift in the days heat, keeping their watchful eye on Tiananmen Square.
"Red Trike" - Simple, rustic, blue and red.
"Hole In The Wall" - Our favourite day to date, we spent hours exploring the Great Wall, which led us off the beaten path and onto an original, unrestored section. After climbing down some rubble and into one of the old tunnels, we saw the most amazing window of our lives.
"Paved Palace" - Another photo from the very photogenic Forbidden City.
"Walk The Wall" - There are many amazing facts about the Great Wall, but what is truly astounding is how it hugs the luscious green hills, far beyond what your eye can see, its something you cannot comprehend.
"Wrapping Tranquility" - Absolute peace, even with all the tourists in The Forbidden City, you can find buildings that feel truly yours.
"Catch Of The Day" - Houhia Lake is the perfect spot to spend a day riding a pushbike around, stopping to watch the locals try their luck at fishing.
"Electric Blue" - Chinese version of a Tuk Tuk, always happy to give you a smile.
"Houhia Fishing" - Known to the locals at 'Back Lake' Houhia Lake is not only popular for fishing, but also for its nightlife.
"Pagoda Seclusion" - Found in the same park that houses Tiantan (The Temple of Heaven) is this pagoda that allows locals and tourists to rest in the massive park.
"Temple Of Many" - Tiantan is one of Beijing's busiest tourist attractions, luckily however it is found in a park big enough to escape the hordes of tourists when it all gets too much.
"Running Forest" - After taking one of the side tracks off the main walkway through Shaoshan scenic area I came across this section with multiple levels flowing over each other.
"Shaoshan Stream" - Running through the Shaoshan scenic area on the outskirts of Dengfeng in China, this beautiful area has a path that follows the stream that can lead you all the way to the peak of one of the mountains in the Shaoshan range.
"Through The Red Door" - A man sits and eats his dinner on top of the City Walls of Xi'An in the guard's tower.
"Chest Of Scents" - In front of all temples you will find these chests full of incenses, this particular one is in the Shaolin Temple, which was one of the best temples we have visited.
"Ladle Of Soup" - This soup shop is nestled in the alley ways that make up the muslim community in Xi'An.
"Lantern Lane" - One of the 4 entrances to the city walls that surround Xi'An, later in the afternoon the lanterns light up making this tunnel illuminate in a way only China can produce.
"Monk Meditation" - A quieter section of the Shaolin Temple, located just to the side of the main buildings. Here you can find solitude from the tourists as you walk around the monks meditation area.
"Performing Skill" - The KungFu display in Shaolin Temple is one of the best shows we have seen so far, these 'monks-in-training' show amazing skill and ability that leave your jaw dropped.
"Shaolin Solitude" - A monk sits for a moment of peace.
"South Gate Shine" - One of the many parks surrounding Xi'An where the locals group to at night to walk their dogs, relax and practice T'ai Chi.
"Streaming Boulder" - A beautiful stream that runs through the Shaoshan Scenic Area, even on a rainy day we were lucky enough to see the area pop with colour.
"Roof Of Tungsten" - Another from Xi'An's stunning parks, in the far left building a man was singing traditional Chinese music, whilst in the far right building a group of locals practised their T'ai Chi, making the night ooze authenticity for us.
"Li Spire" - We floated down the Li River to get from Guilin to Yangshuo on a bamboo boat, the river provides you with picturesque views such as this.
"River Range" - Another picture from the stunning Li River, I really could have spent all day capturing its natural beauty.
"Drying Off" - A cormorant dries itself off after its shift of fishing for the locals in the river is complete.
"Symbiotic Catch" - Watching the cormorant/human relationship whilst fishing is something quite special. The cormorant happily gives up the bigger fish to their owners, whilst the fishermen help by lighting the water using a bare light attached to his bamboo boat to attract fish for the birds to catch.
"Barely Lit" - A darkened moment before the local fishermen rewards his cormorants with the nights smaller fish.
"Tractor Lake" - We rode our push bikes for a good hour before winding down a step muddy path, then along a pebbled open field until finally we reached this natural beach beside the Li River. We spent the afternoon relaxing, plunging into the cool river water.
"Peaked Skyline" - We climbed for 40 minutes, slipping on dirt and leaves whilst weaving up Green Lotus Peak, we finally reached the top of the mountain, then shimmied along a small rock shelf to reach this clearing. Our breaths were taken away not just by the climb.
"Floating Away" - Our bamboo boat stopped long enough for me to snap this quick panorama.
